As Lead Planner and Event Director, Makala works closely with each couple to design a wedding that feels personal, intentional, and stress-free. Working alongside her, Krista brings that vision to life. With a background in digital design, marketing, and business development, she focuses on transforming ideas into beautifully executed spaces. From styling and layout to branding and visual direction, Krista ensures each wedding not only feels elevated in person but looks stunning in every captured moment.

Makala is also the creative mind behind the wedding packages offered at Knot Your Average I Do. She designs each package with intention—balancing style, simplicity, and value—so couples can enjoy a beautifully curated experience without the overwhelm of traditional planning.
As a trained hair stylist, Makala brings an elevated understanding of overall wedding aesthetics, from personal styling to the finer details that complete a cohesive look. Her eye for design extends beyond décor, helping create a fully polished and put-together experience for every couple.

With a background in digital marketing, design, and business development, Krista focuses on the behind-the-scenes elements that elevate the overall experience. From visual styling and layout design to branding and content creation, she ensures each wedding feels cohesive, polished, and true to the Knot Your Average I Do aesthetic.
While Makala leads the planning and client experience, Krista supports the execution—transforming ideas into fully styled environments that photograph beautifully and function seamlessly.
As Marketing Manager, she also oversees the brand’s presence, ensuring that couples not only discover Knot Your Average I Do, but immediately understand the value, style, and experience being offered.
Krista’s role is to take Makala’s vision and refine it into a finished product—one that feels intentional, elevated, and memorable from every angle.
